The 96 Wildcats marching won the state championship yesterday for the 11th time congrats to the kids. They work their tails off every year . Hats off to all the high school kids that are band members .

Congrats on the win..

The Blacksburg band (2nd place) practices not far from my house , so I know the amount of time and work those kids put in..I been listening to that routine they performed since August..

Not enough people appreciate the effort the band kids put into their performances!

They work their tails off. Yes......I had one in the Northwestern band and I now have a granddaughter in the band.

David Vickery the 96 band director has been
there for 25 years now. i remember his first
year they had 8 band members . I am sure he
could have went to a bigger school but has
stayed at 96 .14 upper state championships and
now 11 state championships .
