Summerville-Stratford called at half due to incident

The Summerville-Stratford game has been called due to an incident at halftime. Summerville was up 28-14 and I guess this will be the final score.

Reportedly someone pulled out a gun (he didn’t shoot) but they could not find him. They sent everyone home after that

High school sports are supposed to be fun for the community. Definitely sad when things like this happen when most people are just trying to have a good time.

It was a very sad night for high school sports..
Berkeley Co. It's Time to step up and get metal detectors...
Stratford high school it's time to add a new parking plan.
Asking everyone to get out of stadium and get to your cars only to sit in the parking lot for an hour.
Please add another exit the one entrance and exit option to the parking lot has aways been a problem
But when the parents are trying to get to their kids and people in a panic trying to leave was a cluster...
I pray for the Stratford athletics because as a parent you have to question is it safe to send your kids to events

Since it seems there was no gun, it was probably what has been happening around a lot of schools at football games.

Young kids get dropped off by parents for 'free' baby sitting for a couple of hours and are unsupervised. Then some middle school double digit IQ kids think it will be funny to yell, "GUN!" and take off running...... just to get some giggles and something to post to social media.

No one Twist your arm to come to games 4 to 5 times a year in Dorchester Co.
But we get it ...it's a serious upgrade from what you're used too
