There was a time when the Richmond County Raiders were loaded. I don't know about now. There was a stretch during the 90's or 00's that they went a few years undefeated. If, I remember correctly. They have since changed coaches, so I don't know if they still enjoy that same success. They went out about the same time Independence High came in.
CENTRAL EAGLES...MAKE PLAYS NOT EXCUSES.

Richmond County manhandles Myrtle Beach on gridiron
Max McKinnon | The Sun News | MyrtleBeachOnline.com

MYRTLE BEACH — The Seahawks had a difficult time on Friday night.

Myrtle Beach struggled on both offense and defense, which is very unusual for one of coach Mickey Wilson’s squads.

The Seahawks allowed 638 yards of total offense and Richmond County’s Diquon Cox rushed for 258 yards and four touchdowns as the Rockingham, N.C.-based Raiders ousted Myrtle Beach 64-30 in the first game of the Derrick Law Firm Kickoff Clash at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. :shock:

Brown, Conway ground and pound New Hanover
Ian Guerin | The Sun News | MyrtleBeachOnline.com

MYRTLE BEACH — Cortez Brown wasn’t going to let a negated defensive touchdown slow him down Saturday.

The Conway sophomore lost a 92-yard interception return early when a teammate’s block in the back wiped out the score. Brown more than made up for it.

The emerging two-way player rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns, pushing the Tigers to a 32-14 victory over New Hanover (N.C.)

Carolinas Kickoff Clash roundup
Josh Bell | The Sun News | MyrtleBeachOnline.com

MYRTLE BEACH — On Saturday, it was a tale of two halves between Irmo and Hoggard. The Yellow Jackets, out of Columbia, controlled the first half via an aerial attack, but it was the Vikings, from Wilmington, N.C., who controlled the second half.... Irmo 22, Hoggard (NC) 24

<snip>

Dutch Fork 41, Southeast Raleigh (NC) 6 | The Silver Foxes started off rather flawlessly, building a 41-0 lead before the Bulldogs got on the scoreboard.

Matt Colburn quickly made his presence known, scoring from 9 yards out in the first quarter and again reaching the end zone from 6 yards out in the second quarter.
