John Jones is leaving for Darlington
Citing family issues, John Jones is leaving to be head football coach at Darlington. I wish him all the best. He is a great man and the Sumter community was falling in love with him. I didn't think we would be in a coaching carousel with the long tenures of Tom Lewis and Paul Sorrells. Jimmy Noonan from Wando and Keith West, the OC at Westwood, will probably be the favorites. At least this time we will have more qualified people to apply and have a vast selection of applicants. But I believe it will be one of these two because they are Sumter guys that will stay for a while and it's time to get some continuity back to our program.
