Morning News’ Bezjak named SC Sportswriter of the Year

FLORENCE, S.C. -- Morning News sports reporter Lou Bezjak has been named the South Carolina Sportswriter of the Year for 2014 by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.

Bezjak will be honored at the NSSA’s annual awards banquet Monday in Salisbury, N.C.

Bezjak has been on the sports staff at the Morning News since 2002. His primary beats are covering athletic teams at the 38 high schools in the Morning News’ circulation area and events at Darlington Raceway.
