Hartsville 34 Beaufort 17 final 11/15/19

Hartsville beat My Beaufort Eagles in a very entertaining game this past Friday Night 34-17 in the 2nd RD of the 4A Playoffs. Hartsville was only leading Beaufort 21-17 with less then a minute to go in the 3rd Quarter and Beaufort was driving in for the go ahead score. Beaufort got the ball inside the Red Foxes 5 yard line but the Eagles QB Daniel Phares threw an Interception and that was the ball game really because Hartsville controlled the 4th Quarter.

This was a great game to watch. If Beaufort didn't turn the ball over 2 times then this game would have been a different ball game. Hartsville has a really good team and are well coached. Hartsville RB Dariyan Pendergrass had a monster game running the football as did Beaufort RB James Dagin. Pendergrass and Dagin are both great players and it was fun watching them run the football. Both teams had huge games running the football. Both Defenses couldn't stop the other team from getting big yards in the run game. Congrats to Hartsville on the win and good luck the rest of the playoffs.

I am so sad to see the 2019 season end for my Beaufort Eagles Football Team. But what a season it was for Beaufort. The Eagles started out the season 0-5 but they had a monster schedule with some power house Georgia Teams and some good SC Teams. Beaufort lost their starting QB Tyler Haley in the Effingham County Game and turned the ball over to Beaufort starting WR Daniel Phares. The Eagles completely changed their offense from a spread passing offense to a more run option offense. That really helped out Phares and Beaufort's offense and The Eagles won their next 4 games to win Region 7 4A. Beaufort then had a BYE week in the 1st Rd of the Playoffs and played Hartsville in the 2nd Rd of the playoffs at home and they gave The Red Foxes all they wanted in this game. I am so proud of them.

I am really liking this new coaching staff and what they are doing with this Eagles Program. Beaufort had a very young team this season and should be good for many more years. The Eagles JV finished up the 2019 season with a record of 5-2 and they didn't lose to a SC team this season. Also the area Middle School teams had great seasons and some of those players will play for Beaufort next year. I am already excited about next season.

Hopefully these players will get in the weight room now and get bigger and better. Thanks for some great memories this season Beaufort. I still have only missed about 5 Beaufort games in my entire life. So I hope to attend for many more years. I love My Beaufort Eagles Football and the other Eagle Sports!!!!

What are you talking about Slick???? . Your Stags sucked more then Beaufort did this week. Your Bambi's got killed by Fort D. Y'all didn't even show up. At least Beaufort gave Hartsville a game. My Eagles should be really good for the next few years. We return almost everyone including DL Eamon Smalls who had a monster game on defense in this game. Smalls is only a Freshman this year and is already getting Scholarship offers by Major Colleges.

I am still sad to see Beaufort's Football Season come to an end. I wanted to wish the Beaufort Senior Players the best in their Future Endeavors. Y'all will be missed in the Beaufort Eagles Community. But it will be great to see Beaufort RB James Dagin in the North-South Game and also to see the Beaufort Senior Players selected to play in the Blitz Border Bowl in January. Next up for me is Beaufort Eagles Basketball and Wrestling.
