Well if they do that and no one follows suit then their committing athletic and economic suicide to their programs.
First all the top talent will transfer to wherever playing time is available. Secondly programs that are already hurting now have more of nothing coming in. Good luck with that concept. Here’ an idea let the people that have kids in this school districts vote and let them have a say.

Coaches will be looking to get out of Aiken County as fast as they can.

#1 ranked North Augusta Girls BB is going for a 5 peat in AAAA Basketball. It would be devastating to the program I think if they shut down with that much on the line. Plus they already won a tournament in Columbia this past weekend. Aiken Boys RJ Felton is projected as an elite player and North Augusta Boys is ranked #7 currently too.
