Newberry @ Christ Church

Post by bigdog2003 »

Well, the Phil Strickland farewell tour will stop in Greenville Friday night for the 1st ever matchup with Christ Church. The Bulldogs will enter off of a 56-20 win over Chesterfield in a game that wasn't that close. Newberry dominated the first half, and had a 56-6 lead at one point before the JV team finished the game. Christ Church won a hard fought game over St Joesph's 3-0 Friday night.

Can the Bulldogs keep the season alive? I know a lot of people wrote them off when they had 5 regular season losses, but 3 of the teams they lost to are still alive this week. The Bulldogs are going to lean on what they have all season, SR RB KJ Robinson. Going into last week, he was averaging close to 8 yards a carry. The Newberry passing game was very efficient last week, going 2-3 for close to 100 yards and 2 TD's.

Christ Church is a very good team. I haven't seen any film on them, but they seem to have size and speed from what I've been told.

I hope the Bulldogs find a way to win it. Maybe Strickland has some magic up his sleeve. Doodles has Christ Church by 13, while Calpreps computers have Christ Church 22-21.
