Dutch Fork 2023

Post by DFOLDMAN »

Going to give my two cents on how I see the Silver Foxes' regular season going in 2023. This and $6 will get you some of that fancy coffee Slick, Colby, Stretch, and Penguin drink at the chic, in-fashion cafes they frequent in the big city. (I drink mine from the pot at the farm).

*Colquitt County- First game, on the road, against a top 10 Georgia team. I want the Silver Foxes to win, but that is a tall order. CC is ranked either slightly ahead of DF or slightly below DF, depending on the source... Hate to start the season with a "L" but it will build character
CC-23
DF-17

*Spartanburg- Another tough game, but at home. Spartanburg is going to miss Jeter, along with Sellers, Loftis and Osborne one of the top QBs in SC. Ole TK seems to have Hodges' number.
DF- 35
SHS-14

*Hough- Yet another tough team from NC, thankfully at home. Will be a tough game, but Knotts has good intel on those NC teams and by game 3 players will be settling into their role for the Silver Foxes.
DF-28
HHS-14

*Stratford- Home game against a team that always has talent. DF handled Stratford on the road, with a rash of injuries including all of the DF starting backfield out. I think they win this one a little more handily.
DF-49
SHS-7

*North Augusta- Home again for this game. NA will play hard and be physical, but I think they might be overmatched.
DF- 49
NA-0

*Weddington- Tough, tough NC team. Thankfully, this is a home game. Will be a hard fought game, but I am going to give the Silver Foxes the nod. TK will have them ready for Weddington.
DF-28
WHS-14

*White Knoll- Start of region play. Over the past several seasons, DF has had a choke hold on the region. I don't seeing it changing much this season, unless something drastic changes. WK is getting better each season, but Knotts knows these teams well. Stomping Red Bank always feels good.
DF-49
WK-7

*Chapin- Those boys at Chapin spend a little too much time on the boat on Lake Murray during the summer and not enough time preparing for the upcoming season.
DF-49
CHS-0

*River Bluff- RB is the team I believe may become the toughest challenge in the region for DF in time. That time has not come yet.
DF-49
RB-7

*Lexington- Should be the best team in the region this season, next to DF. Knotts always saves something special for Lexington, and I suspect that will be the case this season.
DF-42
LHS- 7

Let me know that you think....9-1 or 8-2 would not be terrible. 10-0 would be a great lead in to the playoffs.

Looks like DF has a chance at least. I don’t think anyone else could go undefeated with that schedule.
