That’s downright unacceptable from Rock Hill last night

1. Greenville - I've heard they had a really good recruiting offseason but they start with Dorman, TL Hanna and Byrnes, so they have a good chance to show in three weeks that they deserve to be #1, so I'll start them here and should they go 2-1 through this schedule, I might leave them at #1.Well, Week Zero has shown me that I hope Greenville doesn't go 2-1 through those first three games since we have them in a couple of weeks. Although they lost to Dorman, they played tough and I would have to drop them out of the top slot; but not too far.

2. Greenwood - Again, as mentioned above, they return a lot of talent and they have a chance to prove their ranking is real as they start @ A C Flora, hosting a team I know nothing about, Sandy Creek (GA) and travel to Roebuck to face Dorman. If they are 3-0 after this start, we will know they are for real.Week Zero has shown me that Greenwood has some growing to do before they are in the TOP FIVE. Maybe they stay in the Top Ten.


3. Northwestern drops from 5A and was really close to the 5A Upperstate Championship game last season. V=I saw the Trojans scrimmage Dutch Fork and other than one busted play (fumble that was a scoop and score for the Foxes) they hung with them. Then they flat out HUNG Rock Hill who granted is not looking good at all. I think it would be hard not to put the Trojans at the top of the list, unless the South Pointe Stallions beat Gaffney today.


4. South Pointe faces a tough non-region schedule: VS Gaffney, AT Rock Hill, VS Mallard Creek, AT Chester, AT South Florence and if they are 5-0 through this part of the schedule they are a contender! Still have their week zero game to play at this time


5. Myrtle BeachCamden handled them rather easily, maybe the "down year" talk we been hearing is real....

6. South Florence Still have their week zero game to play at this time
7. Hartsville A win over Conway used to be considered a GOOD WIN, but lately, it has lost it's luster; however, I think they would still be listed in the TOP TEN.
8. North Myrtle Beach Still have their week zero game to play at this time
9. West Florence OT win over Lexington keeps them in
10. Westside

Think you upstate winner is going to come out of Eock Hill. The way SP handled Gaffney was scary....it wasn't a contest and could have been worse. Now I know Rock Hill has apparently found the depths of where this program can go, but anybody who can score 89 points is someone that will have to be dealt with.

The only team that might give either of them a game in upstate is Flora but I doubt it.
The only other team might be South Florence who also made a statement against a solid goose creek team. And remember they took SP to the limit last year at their house.

Those are 3 teams definitely anyone of them could win the State Championship. South Florence is the only lower state team that has a chance. West Florence had a big 1 point win over Lexington. I saw Hartsville play Conway Friday night.

Funny after 1 week I thought 4A was the deepest division with the most title contenders. I would say that would fall to 5A at this point.
Byrnes , Dorman , Spartanburg, Gaffney , Hillcrest, DF, FD, Sumter
4A maybe 3-4 at this point

2a Oceanside really made a statement this week and I’d say their the favorite with Abbeville and Gray behind that
1a SC lost this week as well so that door maybe open again, and most likely to their neighbors on 85

I say everything y'all said is probably correct except you haven't factored in late season fatigue yes fatigue dead legs etc plus injuries that could come at anytime which I say the team with the best quality depth will take the title we all seen what happened to south florence after they lost sellers last year they turned into a average team and by the way if you haven't seen sellers play please do that is a grown man with track speed who is a great football player not saying qb because he could be great at any position south florence if healthy is definitely a contender im not speaking on upstate cause im not from there really don't know much but the best football top to bottom in 4a comes outta region 6 not a question and we beat ourselves up all year then eliminate everyone in the playoffs then poach each other till the last one standing in the low country is beat up and plays a great upstate team that's why I say great depth is a factor
