Congratulations and thank you to all of you. It's no fun marching around the drill field in the heat of August, but all your hard work and dedication has paid off, even if you don't yet realize it.
Special recognition to all those bands that competed and qualified for the state finals in their class...

Yes, I know this topic is OT. I'll move it to the right forum in a week or two. ![Uber Geek :ugeek:](./images/smilies/icon_e_ugeek.gif)

Leave it be...I think the bands are part of the Friday night football expeirence..I get mad at Gaffney's sometime..and still think NW's was part of the reason the 93 Indian team's lost in the State game....and imo that was the best Gaffney team ever...SF Band dad wrote:Yes, I know this topic is OT. The band's are definitely part of the experience. In fact, I have gone to games just to see the band. Some of the team's here in Cola, suck. However, their bands are great.
CENTRAL EAGLES...MAKE PLAYS NOT EXCUSES.

Congratulations to all the bands that qualified for state championship competition and to those bands who came away with state championships. As a band parent who volunteers countless hours to help the Emerald high school marching band I see firsthand the dedication and effort these kids, band staff and volunteers put into the show you see on Friday nights and at competitions. These kids deserve the recondition for their hard work and the trophies are well deserved.

Used to luv it when we played OW...Now they put on a show from the time they stepped off the bus....We played them one year and my daughter was a cheerleader...I went down to fence and told a few of the girl's to get them some of that..they just stood and watched with their jaws drop..Their football teams weren't bad either...that might have been when Woodrow Danzler played for them...

Re: A special shout-out to all the bands...
#1, daughter, was a cheerleader and chorus. #2, daughter, was band. #3, son, was an athlete at NW. I spent A LOT of time enjoying the activities my kids participated in, and tried to help when/where I could.
Each group worked equally hard to be the best they could be in the activity they had chosen.
I agree with the SHOUT OUT to all the kids that do band, and the band parents!
