Well it is finally here, the big show down with Fort D. Let me just start by saying I can not wait to see Joyner in a Gamecock jersey playing in Columbia. The young man has some serious talent and will be a star at the next level. Summerville's D has been playing good ball the last few weeks but FD has so many weapons on offense that they are tough to slow down. I really thought the WA game last week would be a little bit more of a contest but FD picked up the win 52-0(yikes). Do I think Summerville has a chance? Yes I do even though I know that chance is small. We will need some long time consuming drives to keep their offense off the field. With the 2nd ranked defense the in the state, that may be tough to accomplish. Summerville does have some weapons on offense in both the passing and running games that we will need to really utilize both of to have any chance. Call is going to have to call(no pun intended) the perfect game to keep the offense moving. I can see us having to go for some 4th and shorts as well to keep some drives moving so we can score as often as possible....FD is going to score and likely score often. We have to keep pace.

Memorial Stadium in Summerville is going to be packed to the fences come Friday night. We all know Laprad would like nothing more to beat us 80-3. Going to be some fun...I hope . GO BIG GREEN!!!!

Just heard they are running free shuttles from Fort D over to the Summerville game. The shuttles will start running around 7pm. Just wait at the stadium to load up. The buses will be staged at FD High and then they will make their way over to the field(about 200 yards) to pick up all the fans. Have a safe trip over...

An exchange from the movie Necessary Roughness comes to mind......

Coach Gennero:
Well, at least we have the home field advantage.

Coach Rig:
The Alamo was the home field.

Good Luck, GBG!

Thanks EHS! I think we may need a lot of luck. Also I forgot to mention, they will be serving up free Patriotic Red, White and Blue snow cones on the bus ride over. Man, you just have to love Fort D.
