4A Basketball Playoff Question?

Looking over the 4A Basketball Brackets and noticed the Top #5 and 2nd #5?

How is the Top #5 and 2nd #5 determined...
Overall Record/Winning Percentage?
Region Record/Winning Percentage?

Also, since Region 6 and 7 only have 3 automatic qualifiers...
Are the 4th place teams from those Regions allowed to qualify for Top #5 status?

Thanks to anyone that can clear that up.
Looked in the 4a handbook and didn't find anything. (May cover under a different sport)?

I'd just be happy to find an updated REGION STANDINGS that is accurate....

Region Four is in both brackets? I guess due to the number of teams in Region 1-4 -vs- the number of teams in Region 5-8 they had to break it up that way. It seems strange!

I'm sure the SCHSL has some sort of tiebreaker to determine the #5's who go but I have no idea how they do it.

Best answer that I have been given about the Top #5 and 2nd #5 seeds
is that they will only come from Regions 1-3 because they are the Regions with 8 teams.

Looking at last year's bracket, the two top #5's were
Westside (Region 1) and Mauldin (Region 2).

I may post a possible Bracket, finding accurate and up to date standings is the biggest problem.

Maxpreps is where I get my info.
