How can Dorman be ranked 8th and Gaffney ranked 7th after we beat them last Friday

Your question is confusing. Wouldn't one expect Gaffney to be ranked higher than Dorman since they beat them?racincowboy02 wrote:How can Dorman be ranked 8th and Gaffney ranked 7th after we beat them last Friday

So we lose to Byrnes and drop out of the top 10 but Dorman loses to us and just drops to 8th where we are slid in just ahead of them.

Sorry 43 I was about to come in and be a smart ass and stopped and went back and looked and now i see why Dorman is ranked 8th. Dorman was ranked 2nd when we played them and after the loss they dropped 6 spots to 8th
Again I am sorry for even thinking about being a smart ass. Im just glad I paused for a minute and did some research

I am no expert in polls by any means, but my guess would be due to timing. The later you get in the season, a full body of work is able to be evaluated. When you guys lost to Byrnes, Gaffney had only played 4 games, now all teams have played 6-7. That gives us all a better idea of where teams should be ranked. Based on this poll, I think Gaffney is about where they should be. I might have them ahead of South Pointe, but surely wouldn't be any higher than that.Coach125 wrote:So we lose to Byrnes and drop out of the top 10 but Dorman loses to us and just drops to 8th where we are slid in just ahead of them.

Thanks for your opinion. As far as I know, none of the voters were physically present at the game you mentioned. However, I can say, based on my vote, that based on what I have seen on Fort D this year and Berkeley, I felt Fort D played a bad game, while Berkeley played a great one. Obviously those that watch their favorite team each and every week have a better view of how they perform. This poll is very similar to a college football poll, not everyone sees every team each week. But, at the end of the day, I personally (not sure on the other voters), felt that there are 10 teams that are more deserving of the top ten than Berkeley.Newcatntown wrote:SORRY GUYS...I DISAGREE WITH THE FORT BEING # 2...AND BERKELEY OUTSIDE TOP 10...I WAS THERE WERE ANY OF YOU?
As always, thanks for viewing and listening! Polls are fun and SHOULD be debated.
