The game was basically a blowout, and think Chester kind of had the trophy in their hands and lost a little focus. Could Dillon extract revenge in '19? We will see. But in '18 they could have played Chester 10 times and doubt they would have won more than 1-2 times. Chester was too good up front. For that matter, not only Chester but either Union or Chapman would have also beaten Dillon that day if either of those had come out of the upstate.
Good quality post and this poster gained credibility by giving firsthand knowledge. Much better than spouting off a "guarantee".

Chester whooped yall for 3 quarters and a terrible call on a fumble return got the Tasty Cats back in it, mentally. Chester's power run game had them boys discouraged and on the verge of giving up. Not to mention the athletes on the outside and on defense. Only team in 3A that matches up with Dillon athletically and coaching.
I was at the game(lol). I felt like We just played a HORRIBLE GAME(By far the worst game we played all year) and Still only lost by a TD. I am not even going to start. I just hope we BOTH make it back to Columbia. NOBODY gets revenge like Dillon. Every once and a while a team will beat us(Like Chester) and then they get lost into the ages of history. That is what separates us from others. We are consistent. NOt just one really good year here and there.Every year a new team tries to take the throne as the new dynasty and we always end up knocking them back off again. Nothing different here. Dillon is a dynasty for a reason. We can't win it every year.(lol) But I guarantee If we both HAPPEN to get to state and meet each other again. The Outcome WILL BE DIFFERENT. Must WE PROVE OURSELVES AGAIN??(LOL) you saw what happened with Chapman. THEY Thought they were the new dynasty on the block. They beat us the first year the second year we shut them up 55-27. I expect the same this year.
Please stop making guarantees for a potential game (6 months down the road) that 15-18 year olds play. You have zero control on the outcome, so you guarantee means absolutely nothing.
It is fine to say that the outcome is likely to be different, or even say it will be different, but to say "I guarantee" makes folks laugh at your comments and brings zero credibility to your posts.
Dillon’s resume speaks for itself.

Agreed, their past resume does speak for itself. However, no one on this board can "guarantee" anything in regards to high school sports.

Yawn.....Man Hush(lol).I have been posting on the Palmetto Prep boards since 2003. THIS IS A MESSAGE BOARD!!     It ain't that Serious. That is why the word Fan is defined to mean FANATIC. FANS AREN"T SUPPOSED TO BE HUMBLE. FANS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE LOUD, COCKY, OVERZEALOUS and OVERCONFIDENT. AS Long as the players are humble that is all that matters. So I will make as many GUARANTEES AS I want. You KNOW WHY?? Because It ain't that important. It is just a game. When we lost last year I was the FIRST one to congratulate Chester. That is why the boards are boring now. I remember in 2008 when Dillon played Central that thread got up to 60 pages of Good clean wholesome trash talk. LETS GET SOME TRASH TALK GOING like the good old days. With that being said. Dillon will be your 2019 State Champs.

Interesting, for someone who "brags" about posting, your post count is a little low considering you have been a member since 2013. Sounds more like you are a reader and not much of a poster.
As for your comments, who said anything about fans being humble. Fans can be loud, cocky, whatever you want, but fans should be educated. Your guarantee, while fun to you, means nothing to most people because you are looking at it as a "fan" instead of an educated observer for the game.

nastycats1988 wrote:I am talking about the palmettofootballtalk forums.). This forum is Relatively new compared to that one. Yeah I don't post much I do more reading than anything. LET ME ASK A QUESTION THOUGH.

Where you guys watching the same Game?? We played our F game at the State and lost by a TD.
You talk about THEM playing bad.PLEASE... We threw 3 ints IN THE REDZONE(How could you forget that), Fumbled in the red zone. That was the WORST game we played all year. That pick 6 we threw at the 5 yard line when we were about to tie the game up in the 1st quarter put us in a 2 touchdown hole. IMAGINE The difference if we would of scored to tie it at 7-7. That would of been a different game Bro. We were making crazy mistakes all night. BUT YOU CAN"T WIN IT EVERY YEAR.(lol). Sometimes it is just not in the cards. BUT to say if we played them 10 times we would only win once or twice. Bro your facts ARE NOT lining up. Talk about educated. THAT IS A VERY UNEDUCATED OPINION.OKAY SO IF I am being an educated observer. Given Dillon's Track record. Where is the Error?? I TRULY BELIEVE BASED UPON ALL OF THE ATHLETES THAT WE HAVE COMING BACK THAT WE WILL RECLAIM THE THRONE THIS YEAR. YEAH I KNOW INJURIES CAN HAPPEN AND ETC. BUt JUST becaus you don't agree with it doesn't make it uneducated. Just say you don't agree and keep it moving sir

Appreciate the confidence Nastycat, winning 7 State Titles in 10 years tends to do that. Looking forward to another stellar year, hopefully without any interference from another hurricane, game cancellations and multiple scheduled open dates didn't help matters. Having Havelock N.C. on the 2019 schedule should bring excitement to start the season. Go Cats!
