The current state of Greenwood football

Post by northside knight »

I have no words. Never thought I'd see the day where Greenwood Eagle football is in the state it's in right now. Woodmont punched us in the mouth and we didn't fight back. Didn't even try to fight back. It's time for new leadership. The board just needs to make sure they don't screw this up. The search needs to start now. Let Pippin finish the season but this needs to be his last year at Greenwood.

I've been saying it for years. When we started losing to all these teams we normally beat.....I could see this coming 4 years ago. We might win 2 more games this year and that's a stretch. We'll get drilled by Laurens next week.

It seems that the higher ups in Greenwood County don't really care about football success right now, as you could've made the case for both McMahon and Pippin to get the can after last year... I'm not surprised by the lack of success either team is having. The situations are a little different, but at the end of the day these two guys are getting way too much for the product they're putting on the field...

Athletics is an integral part of the student experience. Not caring about success in athletics, as well as academics, the arts, and all other school endeavors, is a disservice to the kids. Therefore, heads should roll among those Greenwood County higher-ups.

Heads needed to roll three four years ago. It's going to be a long hard journey back to where Greenwood used to be.....

Biggest issue I see is we hired someone who always lost to Greenwood. But we ignore the red flags so this is what it is. Will have to deal with it. I'm die hard regardless but this is ridiculous
