Again, what do you mean by "punished"? Who is doing the "punishing"? How are you being "punished"? Are you forced to play all playoff games on the road? Do you start all playoff games down 7-0? Just not following this whole "punishing" deal?

Newcat. Thanks for the comment. I believe the 44-0 loss to Fort Dorchester was the reason for none of our voters to include Berkeley as a top ten team.
What that is imho is a lack of respect for fort Dorchester. Because we are lower state.we cant be that good because we are down here.some cases are right.but not this year.our defense is the real deal.,
Look, maybe I am off base here, but I don't believe any team that loses 44-0 should still be a top ten team. I would be willing to bet that they would drop out after a 44-0 loss to a top 4 team. Especially considering they were 10th last week, according to the link I found (http://www.wrhi.com/2019/09/statewide-b ... k-4-153415). Again, maybe I am wrong here, but I don't see how Berkeley can have a beef with dropping from 10th after losing 44-0.
We hain nothing positive from it.they dont either .we cant drop them .so we are stuck ti me thats punishment. To you it may not be.

Ok, so you are saying you being "punished" by having to play Berkeley? How is that being "punished"? They are a natural area rival. It is a big gate that both schools benefit from.
So back to the "punishment". By playing them are you guys forced to play at a disadvantage for the rest of the season somehow? And who is doing the "punishing"??
Some posters don't understand how schedules are put together by football coaches in the year 2019. While a fan may LOVE the idea of a Fort Dorchester-Byrnes home/home, that gate would not be as good as a Fort Dorchester-Berkeley. I hate to say it but only diehards or parents are going to make that travel. Secondly, what good does playing Byrnes do? The points system is no longer in place, plus if you advance to the state championship, you could run the risk of playing them again, which any coach will tell you, they HATE to do.

For the record, you responded to my comment about Berkeley by saying: "We had "hain" (I assume you mean gain) nothing positive from it. they dont either . we cant drop them so we are stuck ti (I assume you mean to) thats punishment." So, one would make the connection that your comment was referencing Berkeley, but nonetheless; Stall, Berkeley, Academic magnet, whomever.
I repeat for the 6th time, how are you being "punished"? Who is doing the "punishing"?

Playing stall does nothing for either team no gate.not really a good game.they were moved to our region while not having the enrollment numbers.we have to waste time playing them.that is our punishment. That qualifies as punishment to me.

FootballFan4343 I would assume he is talking about being punished by pollsters for having to play such weak teams here in the low country.

Fort9, thank you for that. I assumed that's what he meant, but on multiple other things I "assumed" with him, he quickly changed course.
Ok, so lets "assume" that pollsters feel that way. I wouldn't call that a "punishment", its just the opinion of a few.

As for the comment about Stall being "punishment" because they are in your region, my guess is about half the state has that argument. Every region has 1-2 teams that are just terrible and the "best schools" in the region get very little out of playing them. So, Fort Dorchester is not unique in that they have to play terrible opponents.

FootballFan, I agree that the opinions of pollsters are in no way a punishment. But opinions are like a**holes, everybody has one. Thats why the game is played under the lights on Friday nights. Playoffs are around the corner and every team that feels disrespected will have a chance to prove their worth.
