The teams of 5A-6 have now completed their self-esteem tour of local 3A/4A schools and have proven themselves to be below average on the whole. Carolina Forest and West Florence continue to be over-rated. Considering the weakness of the other 4 teams, that's a condition not likely to change until it is exposed in the playoffs.
The only game that's interesting this week is St. James @ South Florence. They drug some extra bleachers from the Softball field over to the football field normally used for JV football and soccer. For the first time in the school's history South Florence will host a home football game at the school. The dysfunction of FS1 on full display for all to see.
The other games:
West Florence @ Conway
Carolina Forest @ Socastee

Let the coaches in Conway and South Florence know they have options.

Actually St James made a great hire this last time. They went to N.C. and hired a coach with state championship rings and he’s building a good program there. Don’t sleep on them. He only has so much to work with there but they are not an easy win anymore. Their JV and b team look good and are winning.

Correct, and Socastee is working with an interim HC this season. Fortunately for Socastee they probably won't get stuck with their interim like Conway did.Tigerific wrote:Actually St James made a great hire this last time.
