Dorman 35, Byrnes 33 FINAL
These are two great football teams, definitely the best in the Upper State. I look for them to meet again in the upper state finals for a trip to the state title game. I don’t really know who could stop either one of these teams from reaching that point. This game came down to special teams. Two missed PATs by the Rebels were the difference.

Congratulation to the Cavaliers. Now the sawed off runt can chew on his foot instead of bumping his gums. His act gets old fast.
The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!

Congrats to Dorman. Just quietly chugging along and blowing teams out. Aside from this game of course. It appears Gaffney has the defense but not enough offense to keep up with Dorman or Byrnes this year it appears. TL Hanna is way down from the past two years. Still a good team but lost too much to compete for a title this year.

Awesome game and congrats to Dorman! The biggest difference in the game was Byrnes 1st possession being a 3 and out and the missed field goals. TWO VERY WELL MATCHED TEAMS!!
If you cant walk it..You prolly shouldnt talk it!!

Bittersweet win. It will be hard to win against the Rebs twice. Even at the U. Dorman has more visitor seats than Nixon has Home seats and they will be full and loud. It will be a tough home game to win.

Two great teams, a missed PAT early set the stage for what everyone knew.... that could be HUGE!
It was HUGE as it made the Rebels have to go for two and they made it, but... FLAG on the play. Holding. So instead of tied, it was Dorman by two. Then 4th and 5 and Dorman goes for it and runs a reverse and the WR tosses a pass to a wide open receiver in the corner of the end zone. Had the DB stayed with the WR, his teammates may have stopped him short of the marker. However, Dorman converted and held on for the win.
Lot of football to be played, no assurances of a rematch short of the Upper State Championship, but it would be a good rematch to see.
Dorman is a solid team in all areas and as always, well coached and prepared. It was a great game to watch and a great atmosphere at Nixon Field last night.
