Greenwood 24 Easley 13
Greenwood needs to turn it back up a few notches. We've turned it down since the Hanna win. We had a chance to step on Easley's throat at 17-3 but they took momentum back. Credit to Easley. Glad to win but the fire we had against Hanna seems to have gone down offensively. Not sure why Jy. Martin was not playing. The announce team said Pippin wanted to rest him up for next week?..... The game this week was a little too close for comfort to be doing that kind of junk. Anyways Go eagles. Man the rumors were swirling about the new Greenwood coach

Re: Greenwood 24 Easley 13
Sounds like the Eagles are playing their best down the stretch. Playoff time might turn out to be a topsy-turvey mess. Congrats to the Eagles.
The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!

Went back to the previous play calling from the coach. Too conservative. Need to stretch the field more. If not then don't run the spread. Just my opinion. Can't have this performance next week. Westside ran through Woodmont.
Re: Greenwood 24 Easley 13
Happy to win and happy for the kids. Coach Pippin doesn't have killer instinct as to why we didn't win by more. That's nothing new. On to Westside next week. Looks like they took woodmont to the woodshed. Better be careful not to lose to um.....
Re: Greenwood 24 Easley 13
Completely agree with this. Why go back to the old play calling when we score 49 and 42 with the new power formations the previous weeks???eagle93 wrote:Went back to the previous play calling from the coach. Too conservative. Just gotta hope pippin puts on his career best when calling plays in his last year at gwood. We beat Hanna 49-22. Hanna beat Easley 37-10. We only beat Easley 24-13. Gotta do better. Need to play with some fire and have good play calling. Pippin has shown he is capable. Don't understand why he doesn't do it each and every week.eagle93 wrote:Went back to the previous play calling from the coach. Too conservative. Need to stretch the field more. At this point I don't give a damn how we win. I'm just glad we won. Just win. That's all that matters.

If you call this type of game you lose to Westside. That's the point. Ain't no how in beating Westside with that play calling. There is one way to win against teams that match you athletically. Call creative plays and stretch the field. No other way. Decent play calling against Hanna, but going back to the norm again. I loved the schemes Easley was running. Where is the creativity for our team? Finish strong, don't go back to the norm that wasn't working well.northside knight wrote:At this point I don't give a damn how we win. I'm just glad we won. Pippin need to stop being conservative in play calling. I don't care if you friends with the other team's coaches. You can be friends after the game with talking and hand shaking. We need to put games away early and stay on the gas until the end of the 4th quarter.
