can greenwood afford bobby bently?

the gamecocks honored jake on senior night in a fishy move before they failed to get the upset win over app st and the family looked like they were at a funeral during the ceremony.

Bentley is not going back to high school football. He makes around $500k in his current position. We have some folks lined up.

he wont have a choice if scar fires the entire coaching staff or at least has a shakeup on the current staff.

No. Even if Muschamp is let go, Bobby is well thought of in coaching circles. Good coach and a good recruiter. Was offered the OC job at Auburn last winter but turned it down. One would think because of Jake being a rising senior at USC and wanting to keep the family together. Figure the last thing on Bentleys mind is coaching football at Greenwood High

Even if he is let go at South Carolina, there will be schools offering him positions. In this day and age with analyst jobs and everything else in college football he isn't coming back to the high school ranks because of getting fired.

And while I completely agree with you Big dog, one could argue that he has indeed returned from the college level to the high school level in the past.
But again, I agree with your assessment
Side note: it damn sure wouldn't be Greenwood.
Notabyrnesfan, dude you got some kind of fixation with all things Byrnes. Even your name BLEEDS Rebels envy. Let it go dawg.

Yeah, he did come back before, but the difference in the doors that open once you get an FBS job and what a smaller school opens up are huge. PC was basically a D2 school at the time (I know they had moved up to FCS at the time), once he reached the FBS level, unless you run a program full of rape charges and other serious issues (Art Briles), you will continue to get jobs doing something at the FBS level. Being an offensive analyst at a FBS school or being a high school head coach? Which would you pick?

I'm sure the salary difference between PC and Byrnes wasn't that great. Nobody is coming close to what he makes now for a him to consider a hs job.

Agreed Bigdog. He taught me history in the old ISS room. During those days, he would teach you how to do the "crow hop" in baseball. He is rollin' like doo doo brown. Can't blame him.
Prolly' grossin' about 30 grand a year in those days. The man has went far.

I would bet Bentley to a certain Columbia school if rumors are accurate, and if he would even consider going back into the high school ranks which I personally doubt.

I don’t think he’s gonna coach HS anytime soon. However, if he ever does, there is only one set of colors he will wear. I’ll let y’all figure out what that would be.
