Disagree. Screw being close. At the outset of his tenure, what he needs to do is schedule some wins to get some level of excitement back in that program. Folks have watched a very talented Emerald program under achieve for years. Maybe the first couple of years play an OOC schedule to give those kids something to believe in

Fine, schedule 96, Crescent, and Ware Shoals/Dixie

McMahon is gonna have to schedule Greenwood and Abbevile. Too much money in those games to not schedule them every year.

They have to keep travel costs reasonable. It’s not just about football.

All of their teams are gonna have to go to Spartanburg schools.

Greenwood is already on there. The schedules are set. They just haven't announced it publicly.

Abbeville and Emerald have played almost every year since Emerald opened, I'm sure that will not change.

Is Dubose going to bring someone in to run the A-Bone offense at Emerald?

That's a good question. IDK about assistants, but, I suspect the offense will be somewhat similar. Maybe a little more diversity, little more passing. I would love to see Atown do the same. I'll take 7 or 8 passes per game. That's all I am talking about.

Not trying to fix, trying to be even better. I can assure, if we had a hint of a regular threat in passing game, we would be even better.

Any updates on staff at Emerald?

Do we know if anyone from Abbeville is coming over with Tad? That's two different ends of the high school football spectrum. A dynasty like Abbeville to a dumpster fire like Emerald.

I have not heard of any of the main assistants jumping ship. Several them of have kids in the Abbeville school system that play football so I do not see them leaving, at least not at this time. Many of the Abbeville coaches are closer to retirement (including the head coach) IMO than hopping to another job.
