The turn around at Spartanburg will be a slow process, need to develop players from little league up. Good Christian man, he will do a lot beyond football for the Spartanburg family. I think Gaffney even talked to him, wife said no, and the money was not there. Same source said that if the Dorman job was open and offered, Hodge would have taken it. Everything at Dorman is already in place.

Now as for Miller, he was not forced out. It has been known since before Christmas that Miller would retire. I think he wants a Dan Jones deal. Retire, but still coach football. He will show up somewhere.
your information is incorrect

What is the correct information?

Yea I am dying to know what the correct information is especially the part about Gaffney and the wife

I believe Hodge is making a mistake. SHS athletics will NOT give him open range as he had at Chapman. JMO

Disagree. Hodge had done about all that can be done at Chapman. And probably would never again match this years team which is probably the best team ever in this era's 3A football. Spartanburg no doubt pays a lot better. Have heard conflicting stories as to whether Chapman tried to match that pay or not. But he has a history at Spartanburg. And taking over a program that right now has a lot of upside after a couple of down years. And am sure Hodge wanted that challenge of getting Spartanburg back to being competitive with Dorman, Byrnes, etc.
