I guess we shall remain in Rodney Dangerfield Mode until we put on a good showing against Stratford in week 10. It worries me something fierce that our boys may be looking ahead to week 10 and beyond.Rebel-Fan-74 wrote:It was more like:EHSMeanGreen wrote:SF Coach: Alright Boys, Preseason is over....NOW IT'S ON!!SF Band dad wrote:I hope our coach had the "Our season starts this week, we are all 0-0" speech with our players after our game Thursday night.

The Stratford match up matters most in the "Perception" bracket....SF Band dad wrote:I guess we shall remain in Rodney Dangerfield Mode until we put on a good showing against Stratford in week 10. It could be the least important game that you play as far as the "Real" brackets are concerned.

Re: This week's match ups...
Well, I've waiting and debated over and over and I finally settled on a few things.
Before we get to the brackets, let's cover a few minor details....
#1 - First and foremost, yes this in just a projection based on my best guess of who will win close to 175 games and I'm never going to get all of them correct, so things can and will change. Heck, I changed my mind of several games three or four times doing this projection. Which games? Well, as stated earlier in this thread, I only have one Region where I didn't change the automatic bids at least three times this week? I'm debating at least one or two spots on every Region except Region V where I settled on North Augusta, Dutch Fork and Lexington for the automatic bids. Doesn't mean I will not change next week, but for this week, that one was easy.
#2 - Several games have huge impact on the seedings, and some games in Region VIII and Region VI which have nothing to do with Region Championships, have a big impact on teams like Lexington and Spartanburg? Division One or Division Two.
#3 - Region by Region automatic Bids for this week's Projection are:
Hillcrest
Greenwood
Laurens
Woodmont
Byrnes
Gaffney
Spartanburg
Dorman
Northwestern
York
Nation Ford
South Pointe
Irmo
Spring Valley
Blythewood
South Florence
Sumter
West Florence
Goose Creek
Stratford
West Ashley
Fort Dorchester
Summerville
Beaufort
While the At Large Berths go to:
Ashley Ridge
Boiling Springs
Fort Mill
Mauldin
White Knoll
DIVISION ONE BRACKET:
1 Byrnes
16 White Knoll
8 Sumter
9 Spartanburg
4 Dutch Fork
13 Mauldin
5 Summerville
12 Boiling Springs
===================================
2 Fort Dorchester
15 Ashley Ridge
7 Gaffney
10 Dorman
3 Hillcrest
14 West Ashley
6 Spring Valley
11 Lexington
DIVISION TWO BRACKET
1 Goose Creek
16 West Florence
8 Greenwood
9 Nation Ford
4 Irmo
13 South Pointe
5 South Florence
12 Woodmont
===========================
2 Northwestern
15 Laurens
7 York
10 Beaufort
3 North Augusta
14 Fort Mill
6 Stratford
11 Blythewood
Doesn't look a lot like last week's bracket does it?

You may already be familiar with the format but he starts at 7:30 and does a half hour. Then he has a commercial break and does another half hour and will do a 3rd half hour if there are more callers. I'd suggest shooting for 8 on the nose and maybe 8:30. I'm sure Gatorfan would love to coordinate with you before the show starts.

South Flo may catch Stratford looking ahead to week 11 vs Goose Creek.

"Region Three - #1 Northwestern, #2 York, ????, ???? Who do you go with for #3 and #4. South Pointe lost their QB, so what is the impact? Do I believe they will hang on for the #3 spot? Then maybe Nation Ford for #4 spot..."
Agreed. South Pointe should defeat Nation Ford this week to claim the 3rd spot in Region 3.
If South Pointe catches a running team in the first round of the playoffs, they have a chance. Their pass defense is very weak.
