Looking at the Brackets.... First Thoughts

My first thoughts are:

I will be picking all the home teams with one exception, Carolina Forest over Goose Creek

I really and I mean really, don't like the HOME field being given out. I like for it to be earned during the season. For example, if Dorman and Northwestern advance the game is at Northwestern. Why? Or why Gaffney over T L Hanna? You can give me all kinds of reasons, but the only reason... the "H" is on their line. Do I think ______ should host? It doesn't matter. The "H" is the only reason _____ is hosting. They might be the #1 team in the state or they may not be in the Top Ten at all and hosting the #1 team.

First thoughts on this bracket:

South Pointe -vs- Greenwood is the match up of the First Round that I'd want to watch.

A C Flora {the #1 Ranked AAAA team} if the seeds hold, would travel to South Pointe for Round Two, and travel to Greer or Westside for Upperstate Championship.

BEF's Team could be hosting three weeks in a row with some good play.

The "bracket selected" hosts are moronic. :x

Home advantage or not, Beaufort would probably have to run the "Region 6 gauntlet" to reach the finals. (WF, MB and NMB) They may have their hands full with WF. Jody Jenerette will have the Knights ready to play.

In 4A lower state, I'm picking visiting Myrtle Beach over South Aiken. WF at Beaufort is one to watch.

Ken, how strong do you feel about Gaffney over Byrnes?

I am very worried about Round 2 and moving forward. I watched West Florence last night. Good team, not great by any means. Beaufort *should* handle them and take care of business. That same bus ride that James Island faces, the Knights face. Home cooking for us. Probably about a 17, or more, point game.

Tweet sized wrap up of Gaffney season vs Byrnes season? Is it a shame either team has to lose?

Somebody had better be looking out for Corn Flakes. The Panthers are the real deal and they seem very focused on winning. Tom Knotts may have more than he can handle with those guys. Do not be surprised if they aren't the team to end the streak. They are super quick, very fast, and have a huge offensive line. The QB is one of the shiftiest guys that I have seen since Bruce Almighty. He has a great arm and good accuracy. The wideouts have a tough time catching the ball at times, but the ball is usually there for them to make a play on.

Just a little heads up in case you guys are taken aback by results.

Is that because they ran all over Beaufort? Lol we are fully aware of Carolina Forest we played them last year. No doubt whoever it is Tom Knotts will have his team ready and they’ll have to come to the Fox Den once again.

Rebels just had too much 2020 this season. Never got on track. Play, not playing, play, no wait, we not playing, who knows...

Like many teams in the area, we had cancellations, interruptions, and never developed that team cohesion. Could they beat Gaffney? Yes they could but with home field, great "D" and all that combined, I think the Rebels will come up short.
