Dillon 54 Hanahan 14

Hanahan jumped out to a 14-8 score but then Dillon turned it on after that. Big match up next week with Gilbert.

Congratulations to the Cats for finishing off the extinction of Charleston area schools from the playoffs. Now we have to teach them Charlestonites that dribbling isn't something that you do when you forget to put your lips together. Bouncey bouncey bouncey.

Great win and I have little doubt that Gilbert will only amount to a rest stop on the way to another Lower State Title game. Dillon vs. Camden is what we all would like to see. Best of luck the rest of the season.

I appreciate the kind words Penguin. Hopefully, we will take care of Gilbert. That's going to be a hard game for us. We have a awesome offense but we're little up front on the defensive line. A big offensive line gives us a lot of trouble. Ball control kills our offense and that worries me. We have a pretty good streak going making it to the lower state. We've played in 17 out of the last 18 lower state games. That's pretty good for any classification.

Pay to play doesn't count. If you can recruit in High School, then you are chit to me.

Corn Flakes go great on Gator!

All of these high octane offenses are great, until they run across a defensive scheme to get them off the field in hurry. Then, as you said, a good ball control offense can control the game. When a team has a really good offense, the trick is to keep your defense on the sideline as much as possible. That is the best way for a team to neutralize these high octane offenses.

Dillon usually has a great defense as well. Probably why you have had so much success. Honestly, I don't know very much about Gilbert, except that they have been having some really good seasons. They are definitely winning a lot more than they used to. Safe travels and good luck. That 3A bracket is probably the best in the state, top to bottom. Murderers row no matter where you are in that one. Who ever comes through that bracket deserves to be a champion.
