Sumter @ Dutch Fork

Sumter will be the most talented defense Dutch Fork will face with several players that have FBS offers. However I don’t think the Sumter offense will be able to score enough.

Haven’t seen Sumter this year but I’ve heard a lot about the defense and I also hear you all have a workhorse at RB so I expect it to be a very good game. On a normal year this game would’ve been sold out but it should still be a good crowd. Good luck to y’all B!

Yeah I’m surprised Nathan doesn’t have more offers. He’ll remind you of Kevin Harris at USC. If Sumter can throw the ball it should be interesting. We’ve looked better since getting Lodaine Redwood back at WR. CF should have beaten us. They lost to us almost the same way we lost to Byrnes 2-3 years ago. Hopefully we make it a four quarter game. At some point the steak has to end... just not sure if it’s tonight. I think we’re capable of getting it done if some things go our way. It wouldn’t shock me to see us win or get beat by 40. Hope we play well and let the chips fall where they may. Good luck.

Congrats Dutch Fork. Their defense was great. I didn’t think we would get shut out. They bowed their necks when they needed to. (Though...I thought we scored on the first down play in the fourth quarter when Nathan’s entire upper body was in the end zone.)

Hats off to our defense. Thought our defense played well enough to win. Wish we would have given them some help offensively. Thought we had an opportunity to kick a field goal in the 2nd or 3rd but not upset with going for it. Ran the ball well but couldn’t punch one in and not being able to throw the ball didn’t help. But great season for my Gamecocks. Senior class only lost to Byrnes, Gaffney, and Dutch Fork and there is no shame in that. A good bit of them will play on Saturdays. We’ll return some really good players, especially on defense. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to play a normal season in 2021 and we’ll see if we can make another run at it.

Anyways the lack of offense .the turnovers by sumter killed themselves more than anything.

Got that right, especially to start the second half. Thought the interceptions were more great plays by the defense opposed to bad throws. But you can’t turn the ball over against a team that good.

I thought it was a mixture on two int the long on the left post route and i think the other was screen that was just a way underthrown ball and the bread loaf fumble. Your line was taking care of buisness most of the time on O .yall definitely were winning the trenches for the most part.
When you guys went down 17 i was thinking that woukd be a tough road to make it back from.
My son was right though about your D getting tbrough.
He had said on film riverbluff had blasted a few of thier lineman and that sumter had a tougher d line(best that he faced) than riverbluff.
