Abbeville need to schedule a 5A team like Dorman, Dutch Fork, Hanna, Northwestern or Gaffney. We need to know how good Abbeville really is.
Can Abbeville beat any of those teams above? I would definitely like to see.

My senior year in school we found out how good we was against Greenwood...30 to 0 but the 1996 team is who set the bar at Abbeville so High.... I would love to see it myself kinda hard to get anyone on the schedule these days. Best believe I remind people in Greenwood every now and then about the Shutout tooGreenwood97 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 3:47 pmAbbeville need to schedule a 5A team like Dorman, Dutch Fork, Hanna, Northwestern or Gaffney. It's been my observation that 1A and 2A schools have just as good of athletes as 4A and 5A schools, sometimes better
Individual talent can be anywhere in the state. Imagine going to play Calhoun Falls and having to face Alshon Jeffery at WR. No 5A DB could cover him 1 on 1 in high school
Hershal Walker played at a 1A high school in Georgia
Years ago if you saw Lamar play, man the players they had. Granted they only had like 25-30 players but the ones on the field looked like college players
4A and 5A schools have more players, more numbers, more depth. They don't have to play players both ways, and have a lot of advantages over the smaller schools money and resource wise
other than that talent is talent

Onion your so right about great athletes at small schools. I remember in 1991 N Augustacame to Daniel . There was 32 players on Daniels team that year . NA sent out 100 players to the coin toss that stretched across the length of the field. Daniel sent one , Will Young. We beat them 35-7 and they were in the 4A title game the year before. After the game Sitterle said it didn’t matter how many you sent out you can only play 11 at a time.
So in a one game one shot situation most of these smaller schools can compete and even beat these bigger schools.
Camden vs Byrnes this year being a prime example.
