Temperatures will start dropping by kickoff Friday night. It will be great football weather for smash mouth football.

Maybe just like last year when it wasn't over until the last drive.... when someone steps up and makes a great catch, a great run or creates a turnover. I don't see either team winning by more than two scores and then more likely a one score game all night but someone could get a turnover up by one score and go up by two scores for a short time.
Greenwood is tough, and looking at their schedule:
Dutch Fork ….. L56-16 a big loss, but it is Dutch Fork
Greenville ….. W30-29 maybe their BEST win
Catawba Ridge ….. W17-14 common opponent
Catawba Ridge ….. W42-30 common opponent
Hillcrest ….. W30-23 another good win
North Augusta ….. W31-7
Emerald ….. W35-7
Eastside ….. W46-8
Greer ….. W35-28
Boiling Springs ….. W45-14
Pickens ….. W49-3
South Pointe also has some good notes on their schedule:
Spring Valley ….. L14-7 only loss was a tough one on the road at 5A school
Northwestern ….. W40-35 only team to beat Northwestern, but it was in Week Zero
Catawba Ridge ….. W28-18 common opponent with Greenwood
ShelbyNC ….. W51-37
South Florence ….. W33-27 (3OT) back when they had their QB
Lancaster ….. W51-13
Indian Land ….. W28-13
York ….. W29-0
Richland Northeast ….. W42-12
Laurens ….. W47-20
I don't see much to make you favor either team, much like in the Beaufort -vs- Myrtle Beach game in the Lower State. I think the home field and revenge from last year might be the only "advantage" I see. I think it has to be Greenwood who gets the nod!

In 1976 Greenwood played Lexington in the 1st round of the playoffs.

30-20 was following the score and I guess South Pointe just found something to pull ahead. Great season for Greenwood, they will be back.
