What's interesting here is: Coach Holloman has won a bunch of games(far more than he has lost) but; much like Clemson nowadays "no championship opportunity" is a bad season. Some fan bases are over-joyed to have good seasons! Saying this to say; "how spoiled we can get sometimes"!
Folks at DF enjoy it! Fort D! Dillon! Same thing I was saying to the Byrnes folks years ago - enjoy it while you are there - it typically isn't going to be a yearly thing!
Congrats to all the teams who took the field of competition during this playoff! Good luck to all the teams coming this week except I hope Beaufort keeps their D-Line at home and the TB and WR at home. And, perhaps the OL as well!
Good Luck Stallions! Work is going to dictate that I try and find a streaming of the game and miss my very 1st Championship game appearance! Oh well! Radio if no streaming is always an option too.
Tough task with these Beaufort Eagles; no doubt about it.
Go find a way and get it done though! Hunt!

Re: They're Still SOUTH POINTE article
Normally, I am a South Pointe fan. I admire how they have built a football program that is the measuring stick for all those playing in their classification. Coach Herron was one of, if not the, best coaches in the state during his tenure at South Pointe. The Stallions have put some very prominant players in the League. Their current head coach being one of them.
That said, Beaufort High head coach Mark Clifford hired Devonte Holloman for his first coaching job, defensice coordinator, for the Eagles. When Mark Clifford was fired after the 2017 season, coach Hollomon was hired as hie successor. He, in turn, hired Bryce Lybrand to be his offensive coordinator as Hollomon was a defensive guy his entire carreer. The results were immediate, and the Beaufort High team instantly became a power in the Lowcountry. Coach Lybrand's spread, wide open, offense was amazingly effective. Coach Hollomon had the defense playing well too.
Midway through that season, Coah Hollomon got a message that nobody wants to ever get. His beloved sister had died. He left to tend to family duties and grieve with his family in Rock Hill. When he returned, he was disinterested in the goings on at Beaufort High. Our season ended prematurely because of that. Shortly thereafter, he informed AD Lyles of his decision to return home to Rock Hill and take the job vacated by the Legion Collegiate decision of Coach Herron.
A lot of Beaufort faithful did not like the way that his decision went down. Color me as just the opposite. Having lost a brother, I full well understand the desire to be closer to my family. I 100% supported his decision and i am happy that he was in a position to do that. Beaufort High in turn, decided to elevate coach Lybrand to Head Coach. His first opportunity at that level. Beaufort High will never be the same. Coach Lybrand has been exactly what our program needed. Young, enegetic, and committed to his team. 3 straight playoff berths, and with this year's waltz through the lower state, Beaufort High will now be that measuring stick in the Lower State.
But, and this is a huge but, the Seniors on this Beaufort High team, the same Seniors who refuse to let us lose, have an issue in front of them. They have played hard, played fast, and played loose. They are one win away from their goal from day one, when they met Coach Hollomon, and he told them that they would be good enough to win a state championship. They have not forgotten that, and now that he and his team are the last hurdle in their way, they have some special motivation that no coach can impart upon them. They now face the coach who quit on them. And they are not yet over that. It will not go away until they make sure that he remembers that fateful decision.
I make no promises on the outcome of this game. However, I can promise you this much, each and every Senior on the Beaufort High football team, will play the game of their lives on Thursday night to repay the favor that Coach Hollomon handed them 3 seasons ago. I will offer this advice to the Stallions. bring your "A" game, and make sure to pack your lunch. You are in for the game of your life. CAUSE WE COMING!

The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!
Re: They're Still SOUTH POINTE article
Screw South Pointe and their home cooking. Herron was a big crybaby that inherited a loaded program from that lazy Carrol who was given a gold mine when the school was built. Will Muschamp couldn’t even screw that one up. Talent does what it does, but on top of that they have it easy because of the name.
Couldn’t find a meter, but here’s 4 bucks!

Penguin - I hear you "lima/charlie"!
Good luck Thursday!
I know the Eagles will bring it! No doubt about it! Hopefully, it's a good game that comes down to a few plays! Holloman and company have shown growth by advancing each year further and further since he arrived.
This is another thing though! Beaufort is big and physical and hungry! Going to be a lot to overcome!
Stallions will have to play their best to have a chance in this game!

Awesome Post Penguin!!!! These Beaufort Seniors definitely will be fired up for this game and they really want to get revenge on Coach Holloman. They were really excited when Coach Holloman was named the New Beaufort Head Coach after Coach Clifford was let go. Coach Holloman only Coached for that 1 season and then he bolted to his alma mater South Pointe. These Senior Kids felt hurt that he left them after 1 year. So they want to show him just how good they are and that they can win a Championship at Beaufort. They felt that he used Beaufort as a stepping stone to being a Coach but had no attention on Staying here. So they will be really fired up for this game. I can't wait!!!! It should be a great game!!!!
