oldfart!!! man, it's been a long time!

i hope we win some! been painful the last few years. lots of changes just took place with the program, we'll see how it pans out.

i've been good-- busy with family, work, etc. crazy how priorities change when you have a family. i don't get to half the football games anymore, whereas i used to not miss any for years and years.

Glad to see you are still around. how have you been? i hear woodruff will be good this year (legend still keeps me up to date on all things woodruff). lol

Dude you have a major hard on for Daniel
I have my suspicions why?
But since you won’t claim anyone it’s real easy to be keyboard tough guy.
How did I lie ?
Just because your hired somewhere doesn’t make you an automatic hire somewhere else.
And we will enjoy winning two more state titles if it comes to that. And if we do go to 4A in two years watch out because the talent that’s coming is going to be off the charts .
I will agree with you that I would like to see a harder schedule because beating everyone by 40-50 every week does get boring. Maybe whatever team your a fan of can pick up the phone.
All you Six Mile/Central bubbas need to learn to get along...lol....sigh, Taters.
Come on Dub...just so much you can milk out of Six Mile and professors kids, talent-wise. The Xs and Os help some too, don't you think?
Always said Dutch Fork had more talent walking the halls most years than any school in the state, just had to get it on the field and show it what to do. Just disappointed in D. Wistar...thought they would go after some big fish this season to back up the claim of "marquee program". West-Oak and the Feckless Flamers prove...well, you know. But I know you were a bit shocked to see the schedule too... never know. Some of those on the schedule may prove to be solid teams. Never know what Greer will bring and that team from Georgia...have to wait and see. But y'all can hang about 100 W-O if you want to.

Being a good player doesn't always make for a good coach. Seems that most of your better coaches were marginal players. Have seen a guy not too many years back. Was an All Pro in the league. He could surely do it, but it didn't translate into him being a good coach in any way.
Never said he would be a good coach
Just letting the Viking followers know
He’s our third DL coach in as many years
Clemson keeps recruiting them from us as well
How can Clemson keep recruiting them from y’all? When they’re the ones that put them there. Let them get a few years at Daniel and then bring them back. Don’t lie to people. We know Clemson is running that program I.e placing coaches on staff making Clemson staff guys break down film and tendencies. I can keep on but I won’t. Just be happy that you will win 2 more titles before having to move to 4A. And tell the coach to maybe schedule someone hard for once.
Hey Tiger Guru, My Beaufort Eagles have a great shot at knocking off Daniel if both teams can make it to the State Title Game. We shall see! I can't wait to see what happens in 3A Football this year.

GO BEAUFORT EAGLES!!!!
Beaufort Head Football Coach Bryce Lybrand is 43-26 after his 6th Season at Beaufort
2022 3A State Football Champions
3 State Titles in Football
I have attended 636 Beaufort Football Games
GO BEAUFORT EAGLES!!!!

Glad all is good with you and your family. I don’t get to as many games as i use to. Grand kids have gotten older and are in college. The oldest played college football and has graduated. Lots of travel with him. The second one played with Spartanburg Junior College for two years and will be going to Clemson this year to pitch. The next one is a girl and she plays softball at Spartanburg Junior College. The next one doesn’t play sports any more but loves music. The next one will be in the six grade and plays three sports. Glad I’m retired so I can see them do their thing. I guess I’m bragging on them but I’m real proud of each one of them. Granny is still kicking and keeps me in line.

Woodruff, I’m told, will score points this year as usual but we need to find some defense. Defense has been a problem since since Coach Varner quit coaching. Defense used to be our thing. We score enough points to win a lot of games but give up too many points and lose. You know Legend always has us winning every year. LOL.

Sorry to write a book. Glad to hear from you.

I don’t know how Daniel has won the second most games of any program in the state the last 35 years or the 6 state titles or the 9 state appearances in that time.
The lack of talent has really hampered us. God help everyone if we ever do get any good players.

Til then we will continue to pray that one day we can be like the fighting Tom Knotts.

Yeah, its the talent Mecca. I drive around the greater Six Mile-Central metroplex monthly....same old Taters from 50 years ago. All I am saying is the talent pool at DWD is not as deep as say Fort D or South Pointe (very few places are that fortunate). I would say Dickie, Alan...the current HC had a little to do with any success, right? You don't give your X's and O's enough credit... Jimmie's and Joe's can't do it alone.

DF would have loved to play DWD and not have to go to NC, GA or MD to find an opponent. I would put the worst team on DF's schedule against the best team on DWD's schedule, and I would not immediately bet against them. Just sayin'...I guess the D. Wistar faithful can enjoy the high octane machines that are...the Flamers, Pendleton, West-Oak etc...this season.

Brag all you want! i love to hear that stuff! Glad your family is doing great and hopefully the pitcher gets Clemson to Omaha!! Good luck to the Wolverines this year. Legend is publishing a book on the history/stories of Woodruff Football. I'm sure it will be quite interesting!

Wren is looking less like a potential threat by the day. Their starting QB has transferred out so that will be their 5th starter from last year to leave the school.
Go Daniel Lions!!
