Why is it so hard to get tickets to High School games now.

Nobody sells tickets at the game any more and you gotta jump through hoops to figure out where and how to get tickets. Was looking for tickets to the Dreher vs Flora game went to the Dreher site, after being redirected 4 x's found their site. They have tickets for the September 9th game vs West Florence on sale but tickets for this week's game haven't gone on sale yet. I try to support high school athletics but they keep making it harder and harder.

Schools in our area are selling tickets
at the gate this year.you can get them
online also.I don't have a cell phone
so if i can't print the paper for them
to scan at the gate then i have to get
a ticket at the gate.last week for the
96 game you could not print the ticket
so you had to have it on a cell phone .
bunch of crap.i use to get in free with
my gold card but now i have to pay 4 bucks
with my card.it is worth 4 bucks just to
hear the 96 Band.

And 96....that’s AWESOME that you still would pay just to hear the BAND!!! Way to support your school!!
Bet there is only a handfull of schools in this state that fill up the bleachers every game!!
Gaffney fills up every visitor side ( and sometimes the home side!!)..for the games I have been to watch them !!!

Why is it so hard to get tickets to High School games now?

Because the AD's don't give a rat's rear-end about us. They want to do what is easiest and the most profitable.

Easy: No cash sales means no counting money, no risk of theft, no late night deposits.

Profitable: Are they getting some of those fees the ticket companies charge? A fair number of people will buy tickets and not show up for a myriad of reasons. I bought two tickets last year that went unused because family members changed their mind or could not attend. Good luck trying to get a refund. Our school is selling tickets at the gate this year, but you can't use cash and they charge $3 more.

I agree it is easier on them but it would be more profitable for them if they would make tickets to all games available at the start of the season. everyone would be trying to figure out when they will be made available, and more tickets might be sold to people like you said that plan to go then something comes up. More money for the schools. I don't see many schools that are selling out and are holding tickets back for family and students, so that shouldn't be a concern

Have any of you just tried showing up and walking through the gate without a ticket? I doubt they would stop you.

But, I agree. Not having tickets at the gate has limited the amount of games I go to.
