No game for me tomorrow, because of this very issue.

Have any of you just tried showing up and walking through the gate without a ticket? I doubt they would stop you.

But, I agree. Not having tickets at the gate has limited the amount of games I go to.
I haven't been to a game that would be easy to sneak into. Usually the ticket taker is right next to the metal detector.
So far I haven't had a problem. Both games I've been to took cash. The Gaffney/Greenville game took cash but I didn't have cash on me. I just scanned a code by the ticket window which took me to a site to purchase a ticket using my credit card. It was a pain in the ass and it cost $14 but I got in.

It's funny they try to sell you on the convenience for them and then charge a fee for it. Why the heck don't they have card readers? I never really understood tickets anyway. I buy the ticket here, walk a few feet over there and hand it to a guy who tears it in half. Why not just let the person who takes my money be the person who lets me in?

Last week I know Dorman was selling tickets at the gate via cash or card. If Dorman were to change their policy, I would just go to any games.

It may be easy to do at smaller schools. Just wait until a crowd is going in, blend in, and keep moving.

$14 for a ticket? There is no way I'm paying that for a high school game. Glad I get away game tickets for Newberry games.

I wouldn't say that I got my money's worth in Rock Hill Saturday night. :(

Accounting, auditing and theft prevention. The number of tickets sold by person A should match the number of ticket stubs collected by person B, and both should match the cash/credit/debit card receipts. Eliminating cash or forcing all sales on-line makes it real easy for them. Not so much for their potential customers.
