I’m still laid low with the flu this evening so won’t be able to attend but all my thoughts and wishes for the fans, coaches, assistants and players for both programs!

I’m sure the worthy team will prevail tonight.

Safe travels for all my good friends and best wishes for the teams in your hearts.

This goes for all South Carolina participants tonight.

My best wishes for you all!

I’d listen live but will probably try to get some rest if it can be had. My thoughts and prayers to you all.

Sincerely,
DeCav.

And a sincere shout out to Colby, who in my mind must surely be seated at the right hand of the father. Between the sheep to the right and the wolves to be cast out he has surely been chosen to join the father on his right.

(Just a biblical reminder for those loosely casting around around their derision and condemnations of “sheeple”. Check you scripture if indeed you hold it as sacred as you’d have us all believe you do. Interesting how the Dark one perverts your vocabulary don’t you think? Just something to think about…

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world)

Just something for the God fearing to consider the next time they hurl the term “sheep” or “sheeple” as epithets.

Interesting how the Father of lies twists our thoughts and would have us believe we are the righteous while at the same time blaspheming agaisnt the word of God.

Maybe it is simply non-secular drivel. A coincidence. What quote is Mikey fond of reiterating from Kaiser Soza? It may mean nothing or it may mean everything. I know nothing. Perhaps I am merely a messenger and probably not even that.

Go Cavs!

And Sheep!

Gaffney 20
Dorman 8

Except for 2plays total domination by the Tribe..2 for Dorman is fast

Penalties as mention earlier or it would be worse.

Loftis looks the part..lot of drops..even so the sophomore playmakers getting it done.

They play 2 halves though..

Well, looks like it was definitely an appropriate night for me to stay home and get some rest from this sinus infection and sore throat. Couldn’t have made a single peep of noise in support of my Cavs had I been there with my PA system in tow.

Slept through the whole contest tonight with the help of some Benadryl and glad for it. Would eat some crow if I’d either set myself up for a plate of it or indeed had an appetite at all for some sustenance tonight.

Loving me some Cavaliers tonight! If we loss our next two contests, we’ve still categorically improved over last year’s outing with yet more room to get better next season.

As long as I can continue the goodwill and fellowship which has been the hallmark of my tenure here in this community, then I feel my membership is always more than justified.

There’s a magnitude more wonderful photos of me with all the contributors of this divine community than there will ever be state titles for the Cavs and I’ll make sure that stays the case. I had a numinous dream tonight concerning all the friends I’ve made in the last dozen years that far outshines any trophy case.

Peace and Love to all my friends of this fellowship throughout the years and here’s to another dozen years!

(Or maybe this fever just has me in the throws of delirium.)

Next Friday It’s the Vikes! No doubt they’ll be gunning for us and the haters will be in full Halloween regalia but before then it’ll be Steve Vai this Sunday so for them I lament I will be irrepressible! Maybe I can score a second meeting with the anointed one!

Met him once for some signatures! I still have a some tour books, CD's, tour books, and music books missing some John Hancocks!

Peace and Love and Good Happiness Stuff to the Lovers and Haters alike!

God Loves you and so do I.

And now for my favorite part…

Massaging my lovely wife’s legs.

Oh I’ve seen them party lights once and been put in a holding pattern as a result.

Also met Bill Keith, Jerry Grisman, and Doc Watson.

Seen Bela Fleck thrice, have a hand written note from Geoff Stelling, was present for a Midnight Jam, saw John Hammond in Greenville, Lonnie Mack and SRV at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium and was front row at a Del McCurry show.

I’m nationwide baby. 😎

Oh and the handwritten note from Geoff Stelling is inside the case with my gold-plated 1979 Stelling Banjo with the original receipt. $999 back then. Maybe I’ll drive up this spring to visit Geoff and see if he has an appraisal for me. I’m sure I could score a second note.

Oh and two Leon Redbone shows but that’s more Dixie Land Dawgs than Nashville Cats.

Lord knows I ain't Jr. Brown but it's been a minute since I've had a head cutting duel. If you wanna tailgate at the Weekend Of Champions, I'm game.

No need to bring an axe. I got a few to spare.

And yea, I can kick a little shit when it's called for.

DF, you’re corresponding with a fella who sat in muddy fields several times a year as a toddler watching Flatt and Scruggs rip it up in a Bluegrass festival on a single stage, not a hippy infested Merle Fest or Telluride.

My dad used to play the Western NC high school auditorium circuit back in the early 1950s when he was in high school...we turned an old chicken brooder/sweet potato curing house at the farm into a place to play "hillbilly music", complete with stage, track lights, sound system...fun time...he had an early HD-28 from the late 1970s... I have it now. My son has his Yamaha SSC 500...Dad was a unique guy...member of the Chet Atkins society made their annual convention yearly in Nashville years...hung out with Chet, Earl Klug, Mark Knoplfer, Marcel Dadi, Keith Richards, Slash...interesting mix there.
“Music has charms to soothe a savage breast.” ...we need to play some Puccini for Dub when he gets on a tear...calm him down. LOL
