Woodruff Football Potential Candidates

Post by MillHill88 »

Bradley Adams has resigned from Woodruff and these names are hot off the press from a reliable source at the district office.

Jonathan Rollins (Current Chapman OC and former Woodruff OC, and has strong ties to the program)
Jason Farmer (former Landrum HC)
Jimmy Noonan (former Georgetown HC)
Scott Early (Former Westside HC, has been known to like the Woodruff culture of people)
Dominque Woodruff (Former standout, community activist, and two time WYFL state champion)
Amos Moates (former Woodruff standout, current Woodruff assistant coach)
Chris Miller (Former Broome and Byrnes HC)
Jake Lambert (Current Florence Chapel HC, Woodruff standout, was seen at this district office this morning)
Bob Biggerstaff (Former St. John's HC)
Darryl Smith (Current Laurens HC, and ties to the area)
Al Roebuck (former Woodruff HC, was heard telling a local group "I'm ready to get back into being a HC")
Tony Rice (Current Notre Dame assistant, former Woodruff legend, highly interested in the position)
Matt Gibson (Current JV defensive coordinator, is a great coach and mentor of young men)
Matthew Bennett (Current OC and Assistant HC at Clinton, comes highly recommended)
Ray Stackley (Former Stratford HC and state champion)
Shell Dula (former Greenwood HC state champion and former WL Varner assistant)
Phil Hembree (Current Woodruff assistant coach, Woodruff native, and has strong ties to the district office)
Lynn Fleming (Current Broome HC)
Al Lown (Former Silver Bluff HC and state champion)

I assume this list was done tongue in cheek, and meant to border on the ridiculous at some points. Any list that has Scott Early, who recently resigned from a better job, Shell Dula, who if he did care to coach again could get many better jobs than Woodruff, and a JV defensive coordinator, nobody would take seriously.

Thanks for your thoughts Blister, I can only go based on what some reliable (in district) people gave me. Scott Early may not be at that new job long based on his issues from Westside (apparently said some nasty things about *MOD EDITED*). Shell Dula has strong ties to Woodruff and would be a great hire, not sure if he wants a big time job at this point. As far as Matt Gibson, he's a good man!! I think the kids would play hard for him, he's a solid coach and a builder of men.

CitySlicker!! Good to see you again my friend. Think Coach Brown would consider the Woodruff job? He's a good man and a great coach. Also, I would love to have a batch of cookies on gamedays like the good ole days.

I think Brown had CitySlicker calling plays in the Shrine Bowl,..... almost handed the game to NC.
