Atlantic Collegiate is opening in Horry County this fall. The school district has forbid any school to play them in any sport. Not just football. They can’t use any county facilities either.

The Rock Hill area has shown the blue print.

When will the Midlands and Low Country follow the example that the Piedmont set and the Grand Strand and Pee Dee(hopefully) follow?

Sad to think that the only people getting hurt in all this are the kids!! All they and their parents were wanting was to go to a smaller, safer school where they can earn dual credits and play sports if they wanted to. Yes first BIG misconception put out there that I will clear up. Yes, you can go to Legion just for academics!!Due to one HS principal who was on the SCHSL executive committee at the time caring more about himself than focusing on the kids, decided a rule needed to be made which would impact Legion. Find that interesting being that the SCHSL didn't have that problem when Grey and Oceanside were created years before Legion. It was just when their sister school Legion was in the works in his hometown. Due to schools across the area refusing to schedule them Legion was forced out of the league. So for any adult to say it is okay to boycott playing a team created of young people is pretty pathetic. You are suppose to be role models as administrators, teachers and coaches. According to the mission statement of the SCHSL below these coaches did nothing wrong. In fact the only ones in the wrong were those using their power to create problems for these young men and women. You wonder why they don't want to attend your school.

The mission of the South Carolina High School League is to provide governance and leadership for interscholastic athletic programs that promote, support, and enrich the educational experience of students

I agree it does the kids in this case. Can’t play against them because you can’t take a chance in them recruiting your players. It happened years ago with gray passing out flyers at a tournament they were playing in.

Again, what duty do the schools have to Pinnacle Charter Academies? Again, why should they worry about the well-being of a school that aims to take students from them? I do not get this.
