Mark Clifford was making somewhere in the mid 90s range when he left. Lybrand only has 4 years as the Head Coach. Rodney Summers(May River) and Jerry Hatcher(Whale Branch) are both long time Head Coaches. Not an apples to apples comparison. And both of those mentioned, are still in the Beaufort County School District. Alternate facts are not real facts. And if Lybrand wants more money, then I wish that he would just quit and go find more, instead of clinging on here as a lifeboat, in case he cannot find the glitz and glamor that he is aspiring to.SF Band dad wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 5:40 pmInteresting. "The figures shown represent total annual compensation for the job for the 2022-23 school year — that includes any base teaching or job salary plus any supplements for being the coach or athletic director. In some cases, a coach only receives a stipend for that role."EHSMeanGreen wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 4:03 pmSalaries for head coaches in this week’s SC football state title games

I won't post it all due to copyright restrictions, but here are some observations:
198 schools
3 coaches get a stipend only
1 accepts no pay or stipend
Some schools reported a salary range, in those cases I used the middle of the range for that school to rank them, and for calculations.
Average: $82,170
Median: $82,704
Beaufort is ranked 130 of 198, that puts them in the bottom 35%. (... and lower than May River and Whale Branch.)

Re: North Augusta
Alternate facts? Please point those out.
Fact: Your head coach's pay is lower than 65% of the other head coaches in the state.
Fact: It is only 8% below the median head coach's pay, but in my opinion, that's pretty shabby for someone that took their team to the championship game two years in a row, and won one of them.
I know they can afford it, considering how much they charged me to park.

Re: North Augusta
OK Mr. Know-It-All. Beaufort County School District pays $18,000.00 per year stipend for High School Head Coaching positions. The remainder of the salary is based upon the type of College Degree, the level of the class being taught, AND the years of experience within the School District. That is why Rodney Summers and Jerry Hatcher made more money than Bryce Lybrand. Achievements do not factor into that salary. The base salary for teachers in the Beaufort County School District are some of the highest in the state. Those sir, are the true facts, not some alternate facts. Just saying that Rodney Summers and Jerry Hatcher make more money, while true, are not indicative of the actual situation. Lybrand would make exactly the same as they do if all factors were equal.SF Band dad wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 11:55 pmAlternate facts? Please point those out.

Re: North Augusta
Just because I suggested that Bryce Lybrand apply for that job too. He has applied for every other job in the state, or nearly so. North Augusta would be fortunate to get a good coach like Lybrand. Only drawback is that he would also be trying to get out of there as soon as possible as well. Until he gets the Greenwood job that he so covets, he will be no more than a part time solution to any other program's coaching problem. Good luck to the Jackets on their coaching search. A class program such as that deserves a class coach to lead them. Some of these younger assistant coaches like Lybrand, and DeVonte Holloman, are proving that it doesn't take older, more experienced, coaches, to win Championships. I say give some of these younger guys who can relate to today's players, a real chance to prove their abilities and turn a program into a perennial challenger.
