What should Greenwood fans realistically expect from the Eagles this year?
Re: What should Greenwood fans realistically expect from the Eagles this year?
I can't say Liner isn't trying and I definitely know he cares. He is making lots of changes. He had Armanti Edwards as a guest coach earlier this week. Liner says he himself has taken over QB coaching duties. They are also going to shotgun from flex bone.

I would expect a very respectable team. Playing a tough schedule doesn't always result in a great win/loss record, but it does help build confidence and help in the long run. Unless something has changed dramatically from when I was working in Greenwood for Mr. Fuji, Greenwood always has the Jimmies and the Joes. It is just a matter of organizing the x's and the o's then. I would look for marked improvement from last season with realistic expectations within your Region. By the Playoffs, given their tough scheduling, Greenwood may be one of those teams that nobody wants to play.

I personally have no clue. I know the kid that played QB last year is back and playing this year. Not sure if he will be the starter or not. If he is I hope the new system there starting is built around his strengths or whomever the QB is for that matter.

He is not at QB. He went back to RB or DB. They changed to shotgun. Have to have a passer.GwoodEagle2k1 wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 1:29 amI personally have no clue. It appears Liner is going to give what most of the Greenwood fans on here want. The spread. Obviously he wouldn't base his decisions off that but I guess we're going to be back in the gun. I just hope whoever we're snapping it to can handle it. I guess we'll see. I hope it works out.eagle93 wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 7:32 amHe is not at QB. He went back to RB or DB. I'm glad they're doing something the kids like. Liner wouldn't change to the shotgun if he didn't think they could run it. Hopefully the play calling is creative. Will be interesting to see who the quarterback is.GwoodEagle2k1 wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 4:29 amIt appears Liner is going to give what most of the Greenwood fans on here want. The spread.
