Dixie hires Mark Sorrow

Post by No Fly Zone »

Sorrow is taking over for Lollis (who recently retired)

He’s been around forever and has always been in the Lakelands area. Probably just a stopgap hiring for a couple years until he retires too.

The kids loved him at Emerald but he got some mixed results as a DC and head bball coach.

Nothing against Lollis or Sorrow; Dixie isn't hiring anyone that is "going to move them forward".

The run Dixie made a couple of years ago is what this school will do every 20/30 years.... get hot with a dude or 2 and go deep, but fall short.

As long as Erskine is around, Due West high school will be there. The power people won't accept consolidation.

They also don't really have the talent to do much either and I think the higher-ups know this.

Sorrow is at least very experienced and in the community. Those are positives.

Greenwood Christian basically hired a frat boy to run their program. That can't be good.
