You are correct BEF. Summerville's last state championship was in 1998. Last CenturyBEAUFORTEAGLESFAN wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 8:11 pmWhat hurts GBG? . If my memory is correct, I don't think that Summerville has won a State Title in Football since 1998. So your Greenwave are way overdue to win another one GBG. Good luck to Summerville this year! I work in Summerville and pass by Mckissick Field at least fifty times a day and always talk to Greenwave fans. So hopefully they can win a Title this year.
GO BEAUFORT EAGLES!!!!

Re: Summerville at Ashley Ridge Poll
The games this week will tell a lot on us and the ville.
We both are good .but how good .who's holding back what . Then it's a big game.
Not just in region but comparable to the entire state.
Hard to tell with mainly local competition and tweeking of teams.
Incedenty 2013 is when forts oline coach arrived from Berkeley. They were pretty good then .Fort became good .he went to goose creek this year if they become better I guess we know something.
My guess is next couple years goose creek will be something to reckon with.
Maybe not ground chuck days but closer.
Re: Summerville at Ashley Ridge Poll
Ashley Ridge played a hard fought game.
But the Wave managed to overcome the foxes and the zebras to get the win.
Not sure anyone wants to see this Ashley Ridge team in the playoffs...Their pretty good....

Re: Summerville at Ashley Ridge Poll
That was one heck of a game for sure. I hate that officiating played such a huge part in the game however. The worst missed call was on the kickoff return in the 2nd half when their star player #6 has both feet in the endzone along with the ball and they let him return it to the 50 yard line. Funny thing is the white hat works with me at Bosch. We will certainly discuss the game on Monday. Congrats to Ashley Ridge on the great season they are having. I agree with Wave80 in that someone is going to have to play the #3 seed from Region 7 and have their hands full in the playoffs. Now bring on them Patriots!!!

Summerville put Yannick on him in the 4th which certainly slowed him down.
