Last week's game at Fountain Inn was much closer than it needed to be thanks to very questionable officiating. Woodruff jumped out to a quick 20-0 lead and the rout was on but the officials wiped out to more scoring drives with horrendously bad holding calls. The Wolverines were called for holding 6 times and NONE against Fountain Inn despite the Woodruff defensive line dominating FI all night. But you win them any way you have to.

This week an improve Emerald team travels to Varner Stadium for the Wolverines' first home game. The Vikings have only given up 6 points in two games and their defense is much better but against good teams they will have trouble scoring. It it close in the first quarter but Woodruff will pull away. Too many weapons, size, and speed.
