Gaffney vs Northwestern....who you got?

I hope everyone picks Gaffney and keeps avoiding eye contact with Northwestern.

Fun stat. Over the last 3 seasons (40 games) Northwestern has been held under 30 points 3 times. Trojans scored 28 twice winning both of those games. The one loss 2 years ago was the regular season against Gaffney (eventual state champion) with a loaded senior class.

To pick Gaffney tonight you have to believe Gaffney will achieve the improbable of holding Northwestern under 30 and that they will score at least their season average of 30, which they have not done against a good team this year - Spartanburg being the closest.

I don’t pick scores because teenagers do teenager things, but if the Trojans keep playing normal football they win.

No dog in the fight, but part of me thinks Jones is going out a state champ....the other part has seen some Northwestern tape. I am going with the Trojans in this one. Slugfest early.

I listened to that game on the radio and I can say Gaffney came to play and played NW very good.I thought at one time they were gonna pull it off.Great game though..

stats from the Gaffney Ledger today..
It’s was a barn burner beginning to end..Indians gave it a great effort and I guess it’s why it didn’t hurt my feelings too
bad..

the ledger game story didn’t even make sense. per the gaffney official statistician nw had 75 plays for 557 yards and gaffney had 68 for 492. i dont know what that mess in the paper is. the ledger screwing up is par for the course!
