Heard it through the grapevine that Lexington is set to make a hire in the next few days.

If the name that I am hearing is correct, it's going to surprise a lot of people around the state. It is supposedly a head coach of a AA team in the Midlands that has had a ton of success and recently won a state championship. I don't want to put a name out there in case something falls through, last minute.
How recent we talking? I know of a coach from a AA that matches your description but he's considered upstate. Ironically, the town itself is misidentified sometimes as being in the midlands. Did this coach previously have success in the Pee Dee?

It’s not who you’re thinking.

You could classify the area as the Lakelands too.

The state title was won in the last 10 years.
Interesting...11 seasons, only 2 were losing, 5 were double digit wins, impressive post season record.

Would be a home run hire in my opinion.
