Heard it through the grapevine that Lexington is set to make a hire in the next few days.

If the name that I am hearing is correct, it's going to surprise a lot of people around the state. It is supposedly a head coach of a AA team in the Midlands that has had a ton of success and recently won a state championship. I don't want to put a name out there in case something falls through, last minute.

How recent we talking? I know of a coach from a AA that matches your description but he's considered upstate. Ironically, the town itself is misidentified sometimes as being in the midlands. Did this coach previously have success in the Pee Dee?
