MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Nick Jones’ 20-yard touchdown pass to Hykeem White with under a minute to play completed South Florence’s improbable 55-49 comeback win over Carolina Forest on Friday in a Region 6-4A high school football game.

The Bruins (7-1, 2-0 region) outscored the Carolina Forest 42-7 in the second half after trailing 42-13 at the half.

I'm pullin' a band trailer to West Ashley this morning for the lower state competition. :)

Wow, that is incredible...That has to rank up there with one of the largest comebacks in SC prep football history.

I would be equally worried about giving 42 to CF must less in the first half. :o

Huh??! A team allowed Carolina Forest to put up 49 points on them??? Say it ain't so!!! :lol:

I didn't attend the game, but I'm told they put our (sleeping) kids on their heels by starting the game with a pair of on-side kicks which they recovered, and an entirely new playbook.

Luckily, our coaches were able to make the necessary adjustments (schemes and psychology) at half-time and the 2nd half was a different game.

I'm glad they made a game of it and I hope they spoil some dreams in their next three games. :twisted: :mrgreen:
